Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps May Release Blog Hop! I know I say this every month, but this month's release is so amazing! You will love the seven new clear stamp sets being released this evening, so grab a beverage and a tasty snack, and get ready for some amazing inspiration from the Design Divas!
To make the hop even more interesting, one lucky participant will have a chance to win the whole new release! That's right...just leave a comment at every blog along the way and one lucky person will be chosen at random from a random blog to win the whole release!
If you've just come from the amazing DJ Rants, you're on the right track...otherwise you might want to go back to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog to start at the beginning. You won't want to miss a single project!
For my first sample, I used the new "Wedding Collage" clear stamp set which includes one fabulous image and NINE wonderful sentiments perfect for blessing the happy couple on their wedding day!
Creative Nugget: The collage image was stamped on Neenah Solar White paper and cut with a square nestie using the out-of-the-box technique. Copic markers were used to color the image and to create a light halo around the couple. Flower soft, pearls, and Stickles were added for texture. The Bo Bunny patterned papers were layered onto Sweet Blush card stock and mounted to a Select White card base. A Spellbinders label die was used for the sentiment and some glittery twine from my stash was tied in a bow and added to the sentiment.
My next samples were made using the Nature Silhouettes Clear stamp set. This set will quickly become one of my favorites! It includes ELEVEN wonderful silhouette images! I know I will be reaching for this set time and time again to make wonderful cards throughout the year!
Creative Nugget: For this sample markers were used to color directly on the stamp and spritzed with water before stamping the image onto Select White card stock. Piercing and stitching was added to the BasicGrey and lilybeedesign DP layers along with Baker's twine and pearls. The sentiment is from the Birds & Roses stamp set.
Creative Nugget: A clean and simple layout was used to create this card. The silhouette daisies were inked up with Ripe Avocado ink and one of the sentiment images was inked up in Walnut Stain ink and the two were "Kissed" together. It's difficult to see on the photo, but the script was imprinted on the daisies. The dragonfly was given a layer of Peeled Paint Distress Stickles.
I hope you've enjoyed my samples as much as I enjoyed making them. Now head on over to our guest designer for the month, the amazing Jenny Harper! Here's the whole list of bloggers today in case you get lost along the way.
Make plans to join us tonight at 8:00pm EST over in our Member Company Forums on Splitcoaststampers for our New Release Party! We'll have full reveals of each fabulous stamp set, fellowship and chatter with friends, fun challenges, and more!
