For my first sample I used the adorable Cheerful Snowmen stamp set designed by Jen Nilsson

Creative Nugget:  The snowflakes from the Cheerful Snowmen stamp set were randomly stamped around the border of the Stitched panel using coordinating inks.  A die cut frame was mounted to the middle of the panel.  The snowman and bird were colored with Copic Markers and popped onto the card.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Pine stamp set.  A few Sparkletz were added for some bling to finish the card.

My second sample was made with the new Folk Art Snowflakes stamp set designed by Nina Brackett.

Creative Nugget:  Several of the smaller snowflakes from the Folk Art Snowflakes stamp set were randomly white embossed on a stitched Kraft panel.  White acrylic paint was splattered on the panel.  The largest snowflake was white embossed on textured vellum, fussy cut and popped onto the card.  The sentiment was also white embossed...love the look of white embossing on Kraft card stock.  A few white gems were added to finish the card.

For my first sample I used the adorable Rhubarb's Harvest stamp set which is a remix of many of the favorite retired Rhubarb stamp sets perfect for fall.

Creative Nugget:  The outline hexagons from the Cheerful Hexies stamp set were white embossed on a Kraft panel.  White and black acrylic paints were splattered onto the panel.  Oxide inks were applied to the solid hexagons, spritzed with water and stamped on a piece of mixed media paper.  The matching outline stamps were stamped in black making a border around each shape.  The hexagons were cut with my Scan 'N Cut and randomly popped onto the card front.  Rhubarb was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and added to the card.  The sentiment was black embossed on a white strip and tucked under Rhubarb. A jute bow was added to finish the card.

My second sample was made with the new Succulents stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  Oxide inks were streaked on a stitched rectangle panel and stamped with the pebble stamp in the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  A sentiment from the Scripty Thoughts stamp set was embossed on a sponged panel and a Penny Black frame die cut was popped on the panel.  Several succulents from the stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut out and arranged on the frame.  Some sparkle embellishments were added to finish the card.

Blessed Beyond Measure

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing some Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps inspiration for you over on the SNSS Blog.

My first card features a little sneak peek of a wonderful new stamp set being released next week on October 7th as part of the October Release.

Creative Nugget:  Some of the smaller succulents from the stamp set were randomly stamped in light green ink over the background.  The grid from Texture Tiles 1 was stamped in purple ink.  A second panel was embossed with a leafy stencil.  Oxide ink was rubbed onto the raised edges to bring out the detail. This panel was cut in half lengthwise and added to the background. Different succulents from the stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  A sentiment from the Faith Wordfetti stamp set was white embossed on a purple strip.  A few gems were added to finish the card.

My second card features the adorable Fur-ever Friends stamp set released last month.  This card was also used as the inspiration for the Sketch Challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

Creative Nugget:  Stripes of Oxide Inks were sponged on a white panel and then a different leafy stencil was used to emboss some texture on the background.  The wood pattern from Wood Backgrounds was stamped on a strip used to ground the cute little fox which was colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  Some of the leaves from the set were colored and added to the card.  The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut banner and white gems were added to finish the card.

Nuts About Fur-ever Friends

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing several cards over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog using stamps released for the month of September.  I have been having so much fun with the Fur-ever Friends Stamp set...I'm just nuts about all of the adorable critters that are a part of this wonderful stamp set designed by Jennifer Nilsson!

Creative Nugget:  The background for my scene was created by applying Oxide Inks to a piece of acetate, spritzing it with water and patting and smearing the wet ink onto a piece of mixed media paper...blues on the top and greens on the bottom.  A smaller rectangle was cut from the panel, mounted to a piece of white card stock and popping it back onto the larger rectangle. The fence and clouds were cut with retired dies from SNSS and were popped onto the scene along with the cute critters from Fur-ever Friends which were colored with Copic Markers and cut with my Scan 'N Cut.  One of the sentiments from Fur-ever Friends was embossed on one of the clouds to finish the card.

Creative Nuggets:  Oxide Inks were swiped down a piece of mixed media paper and stamped with the wood slice from the Wood Background stamp set.  This panel was then embossed with the wood texture Impression Plate.  A circle was cut from the ring off the edge of the paper.  More texture was added to the wood background using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  This panel was popped onto a piece of brown card stock and the sentiment was white embossed.  The cute little squirrel, acorns and leaves from the Fur-ever Friends stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the front of the card.

For my first sample, I used the adorable Fur-ever Friends stamp set designed by Jennifer Nilsson.

Creative Nugget:  A background was made by sponging Oxide Inks on a mixed media panel.  The aperture with tree was cut from the sponged panel with the WindowRama Dies from Stampendous.  Foliage from the Scene Silhouettes: Wetland Grass stamp set was stamped along the bottom edge.  A second sunrise panel was also sponged with Oxide Inks.  The deer and mushrooms from the Fur-ever Friends stamp set were colored with Copic Markers and mounted onto the sunrise panel.  The foliage panel was popped on top.  The squirrel, sentiment and gems were added to finish the card.

My second sample is a Christmas card made with the new Deck the Halls stamp set designed by Rebecca Rios.

Creative Nugget:  Oxide Inks were sponged on the top part of a mixed media panel cut with a Leaf Stitched Frame Die by Penny Black.  The panel was embossed with falling snow and splattered with white acrylic paint.  The sentiment from Deck the Halls was embossed on the bottom of the panel.  The popcorn garland and Christmas ornaments were colored with Copic Markers and cut with my Scan 'N Cut.  The ornaments were hung with metallic thread from the garland to finish the card.

Deck the Halls

Hello friends!  I know it is only September, but it is not too early to begin working on cards for Christmas.  The new Deck the Halls stamp set designed by Rebecca Rios just released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is a wonderful set for creating your holiday cards.  I'm sharing these cards over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog as well.

Creative Nugget:  My first sample was made by creating a wreath with the holly leaves included in the Deck the Halls set.  Some of the leaves were cut out and popped onto the wreath for dimension.  The berries were stamped and covered with Glossy Accents.  The Christmas ball was colored with Copic Markers and hung from the wreath with metallic thread.  A bow was added, a sentiment embossed and a strip of patterned paper added to finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  On my second card, the popcorn and cranberry garland was stamped repeatedly across the card and colored with Copic Markers.  The cranberries were covered with Glossy Accents.  The Christmas balls were hung with metallic thread and the sentiment embossed on a stitched circle die cut.  Behind  the popcorn panel is a strip of red card stock on which the script from Texture Tiles 1 was white embossed.

Heartwarming Friendship

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a couple of cards over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog using products from the August release.  First up is a card created with the Tea For Two stamp set.  What a cute set...perfect for sending warm wishes!

Creative Nugget:  A background was created with some papers from my stash and a little stamped texture using one of the stamps from the Texture Tiles 3 stamp set.  The steam from the Tea for Two stamp set was stamped over the texture and a heart shaped frame was cut using some Spellbinders Dies.  The teapot, cups and tea bag were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  The split sentiment was embossed above and below the heart frame to finish the card.

My second card features the Stamp of the Month which is available free with a $75 purchase until the end of the month.

Creative Nugget:  Twilight and Sand Castle inks were swiped down a sheet of white card stock.  The wood grain stamp from Texture Tiles 2 was used with Black Jack ink to create texture.  A wood grain texture plate was then used to emboss the panel before it was cut into four sections.  The sections were mounted to a piece of pink card stock.  A Tim Holtz die was used to cut two spirals and the bird from the Singing Praises stamp set was Copic colored to resemble a bluebird, cut with the Scan 'N Cut and mounted to the card.  A sentiment from Sentimental Wordfetti was embossed on a banner die cut to finish the card.

The stamp sets used are available from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Creative Nugget:  A background was made with Oxide Inks and script text from the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set was added.  The feather panel was created by white embossing the feather from the His Wings stamp set and sponging Oxide inks over the embossing.  This was spritzed with water and white acrylic paint splatters were added.  The Chickadee from the Singing Praises stamp set was colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto a sponged, stitched square panel.  The sentiment was white embossed on card stock and adhered across the bottom of the card.  A few pearls were added to finish the card.

I wanted to use the little ladybug from the new Tea for Two stamp set for my second card.

Creative Nugget:  Leafy branches from the Fantastic Flowers stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and added to the corner of a smooshed  Oxide ink background.  A PTI fence die cut was added to the lower corner. The little flowers and ladybugs from the Tea for Two set were added to the fence and the leaves.  A sentiment from the Sentimental Wordfetti stamp set was stamped on the fence to finish the card.
