And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Sending Holiday Hugs

Hello, everyone!  Today I am hosting the Ways To Use It Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and the challenge is to use a popped up element on your card.  This was the perfect chance to make another fun Pop-Up Box card.

Creative Nugget:  The directions for this fun box can be found HERE.  These cute penguins from the Holiday Hugs stamp set were colored with Copic Markers and popped up with small strips of acetate.  Around the bottom of the box are snowy drifts cut with the Hillside Edges Dies.  Some sparkle was added with Crystal Snow and rhinestones.  This will go to my great-niece for Christmas.

These stamps and dies can be found at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store:
This is the last day to receive 20% off all Christmas/Fall stamp sets!

This card will be submitted for the following additional challenges:

Thanks so much for popping by…have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Cathymac

From Our House to Yours

Hello crafty friends!  Christmas is drawing ever nearer and there is still so much to do, but I have a quick card to share with you today.

What do you get when you combine a Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use It Challenge, a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps feature, and a Mojo Monday Sketch?  This snowy ornament card with a merry Christmas wish from our house to yours!

Creative Nugget: The snowy backgrounds on this card were made by sponging Cool Caribbean and Marina Mist inks on pieces of Neenah Solar crest card stock and then splattering the panels with watered down white acrylic paint.  The new Hillside Edges Dies by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps were used to create the snowy drifts.  The little houses on the dies coordinate perfectly with the houses in the Happy Home stamp set which was featured on Thursday on the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog.  The ornament was made with circle dies by Our Daily Bread Designs.  A little Copic coloring, seam binding, and metallic thread were added to finish the card which was designed using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch!

These supplies from Sweet'n Sassy Stamps were used to make this card:

Thanks so much for stopping by…I'm off to wrap some gifts!

Red and White for Christmas

Hello friends!  With all the record snowfalls parts of our country are being blanketed with, I decided to whip up a few more Christmas cards using mostly white with a few red accents.   I've been very content be confined to my warm, cozy home during this blast of freezing weather while the car is in for repairs!  LOL!

Creative Nugget:  After using the new Bare Tree Die just released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to cut several trees, the trunks were woven through the branches to form the wreath for this Christmas card.  The chickadee image from the God's Purpose stamp set was colored with Copic Markers, cut with the God's Purpose Chickadee Die, and mounted over the opening in the wreath.  A bright red bow and a few sequins finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  This scene was made using the sketch from this week on Splitcoaststampers and the new Hillside Edges Dies by SNSS.  The sky was sponged and splattered with acrylic paint. The scene was framed in red and the Christmas sentiment was embossed in red on another one of the Hillside Edges.  The tree from the Forest Silhouettes Dies was added along with a little bird die cut from Real Red card stock.  A big red bow made from seam binding was added to finish the card.

Here are the supplies from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store used to create these wintery Christmas cards:

Thanks so much for stopping by…stay warm!
