It's Time for the ODBD April 2017 Release

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs April 2017 Release!  You are in for a real treat!  The stamp sets and dies being released today are so gorgeous...whether you need an adorable lantern gift box or a card to send a friend, this release is for you.  Take some time to join the hop and feast your eyes on all the gorgeous samples created by the Bread Stick designers for your inspiration.

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until April 2, 2017 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers' Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on April 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first sample was made using the new To My Friend stamp set (**LOVE**) and the Lattice Die.
Creative Nugget:  The dandelions from the To My Friend stamp set were randomly white embossed on a piece of kraft card stock.  Neenah card stock cut with the Lattice Background Die was adhered to the kraft panel.  Double Stitched Rectangles and Rectangles Dies were used to cut a frame from another piece of kraft card stock.  The sentiment was white embossed at the bottom of this panel.  The dandelions were then white embossed on a piece of vellum and sandwiched between the lattice panel and the Kraft frame.  Beautiful Borders were stitched to the edges of the craft panel.  Ribbon, twine and some glittery enamel dots were added to finish the card.

My second sample is a matching lantern gift box made with the Luminous Lantern Dies.
Creative Nugget:  After using the Luminous Lantern Die to cut a piece of Kraft card stock, Rectangles were cut from each side. The dandelions from the To My Friend stamp set were white embossed on four pieces of vellum and attached to the inside panels of the lantern.  White frames cut with Rectangles and Double Stitched Rectangles Dies were attached around each of the vellum panels.  A Little LED votive was placed inside the lantern and the top was gathered and tied from the inside.

Here is the matching gift set:

I always love the white on tone. Such a clean, yet striking contrast. And, the vellum adds an attractive softness to the finished pair. Thank you!

I always liked the looks of dandelions, and your lovely card shows off why. They may be a weed, but they sure are pretty.
