Welcome to the ODBD April 2016 Release

Hello friends!  It's time for the Our Daily Bread Designs April 2016 Release!  Our Daily Bread Designs is releasing several stamp sets and dies this month perfect for stitching together quilted messages of love and encouragement for friends and family alike.  Sew…be sure to stop by the ODBD Blog to see what is new!

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until April 2, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers' Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on April 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first sample was made using the A Time to Mend stamp set and the new Log Cabin Quilt Die.

Creative Nugget:  Cozy Quilt Collection Papers and matching card stock were cut with the Log Cabin Quilt Die to make the quilt in the middle of the card.  Left over paper and a Boho Background Die embossed piece of card stock were pieced together with a Beautiful Border to make the card front.  The  adorable sewing machine from the A Time to Mend stamp set was embossed on a Circle die cut and mounted to a Double Stitched Circle.  One of the Pennants Dies were used to make a banner for the embossed sentiment also from the A Time to Mend stamp set.  Stitching, silk ribbon, and button accents were added to finish the card.

Quilted With Love and the Star Quilt Die were used to make my second sample.

Creative Nugget.  The Star Quilt Die was used to cut both kraft and white card stock.  The white pieces were sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress ink and pieced back into the kraft star quilt frame. The Filigree Frame die cut fit around the quilt perfectly.  The quilt was mounted to a card front made with one of the beautiful papers from the Cozy Quilt Paper Collection cut with the Flourished Star Pattern Die.  The sentiment from the Quilted With Love stamp set was embossed on one of the Tag Trio die cuts.  The Small Bow Die was used to cut a matching bow from the Cozy Quilt paper. Several pearls were added to finish the card.

Your first card, Cathy, is so beautiful with the bright colors and lovely stitching! (I love bright colors!) Your use of the Log Cabin Die and the gorgeous paper creates a gorgeous layout. The sewing machine is so charming with your added ribbon, and I love the sentiment; it very uplifting. The second card featuring the Star Quilt die is awesome! I really like how you used a Filigree Frame die cut behind the Star Quilt die cut. The monochrome colors are terrific. I can't wait to get my order of these fabulous products! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend, Cathy!
