Honey Crisp Apples

Hello stamping friends!  In honor of "National Honey Month"...yes it's true, there really is such a thing...Michelle challenged us to make a card or project with a bee or the colors black and yellow on the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoaststampers today.  ODBDSLC169 Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is to make a one layer card...a real challenge for me.  I managed to put some bees and the colors black and yellow on my one layer card!

Creative Nugget: The Cuttlebug Embossing folder created texture on the Solar Crest panel and some sponging with Daffodil Delight ink highlighted the embossing.  The apple basket image from the newly released Apples stamp set by Our Daily Bread Designs was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. Several bees from the Simple Things stamp set were added buzzing around the sweet Honey Crisp Apples.  Two little holes were punched on either side of the bucket handle on which the Spellbinders tag could be tied.  Some Star Dust Stickles was added to the bees' wings and black pearls added to finish the card.

These materials used on this card are available at the

Hope you've been inspired by your visit...have a blessed day!

Hugs,
Cathmac
