And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Hug in a Mug

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a card on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for National Coffee Day.  Now...I am not a coffee drinker, but I love the smell of coffee, coffee ice cream, and coffee stamps...especially the Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Creative Nugget:  Papers from the Latte Love Paper Pad were cut with Pierced Rectangle Dies and stitched together for the card front.  Rounded Rectangle and Double Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies were used to cut the smooshed inky Distress Oxide panel.  The sentiment and coffee cups from the Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo were stamped, paper pieced and mounted to the card front with foam tape.  Splatters and a few sequins were added to finish the card.

Be sure to hop on over to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog to join the hop for a chance to win some amazing prizes!

ODBD Throwback Thursday - Dresden Quilt Die

Hello friends! Today is Throwback Thursday over at Our Daily Bread Designs  and the featured die for today is the Dresden Quilt Die.  Don't you just love getting all cozy wrapped up in a quilt with a hot mug of coffee...or in my case, hot chocolate!  The Dresden Quilt Die makes a perfect background for a warm, cozy card!

Creative Nugget:  Latte Love Papers were cut with the Dresden Quilt Die and pieced back together to make the quilt.  The quilt was tucked into Lacey Corners die cuts on two of the corners. and a sentiment from the Quilted With Love set was added on a Pennant Flag.  The Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo was used to create the coffee mug which was popped onto the card. Stitching was added for the finishing touch.

To see more samples using the Dresden Quilt Die head on over to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.

Looking Back at the ODBD May 2018 Release

Good morning, friends!  Today we are taking another look at the ODBD May 2018 Release.  I have a few projects to share with you using the Turtle Love Stamp/Die Duo and the Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo.

Creative Nugget:  The underwater background was created on watercolor paper with a watercolor wash and salt and cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die.  The sandy ocean floor was cut from paper from the By the Shore Paper Collection.  The sea grass and coral at the bottom of the card were created with Grass Border and Fancy Foliage Dies.  The turtles from the Turtle Love set were colored with Copic Markers and cut with the coordinating dies.  A sentiment from the set was stamped on a Pennant Flag die cut.

My second card is for all coffee lovers out there!

Creative Nugget:  Lever Card Dies were used to create the card base and Latte Love and Fall Favorites papers were cut with the Lever Card Layers Dies and added to each of the card panels. The Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo was used to create all of the coffee cups and sentiments.  One of the sentiments was stamped on a Pennant Flag die cut and Layering Hearts die cuts were added to finish the card.

This is such a fun card design!

So Brewtiful!

Hello friends!  I hope all of you "Brewtiful" mothers out there had a wonderful day yesterday and found yourselves being pampered and treated like a queen!  I have an all occasion card to share today for those who need a good cup of coffee to perk up in the morning!  This was also made for CAS(E) This Sketch 271 and several other challenges.

Creative Nugget:  A paper tube and watered down distress inks were used to create coffee rings on a piece of Vintage Cream card stock which was then cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die. Papers from the Latte Love Paper Pad were cut with Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and a Pennant Flag Die following the sketch design.  The coffee mugs from the new Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo by Our Daily Bread Designs were stamped, cut, and paper pieced.  A sentiment from the set was embossed and a twine bow added to finish the card.
