And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Wedding Inspiration

Hello again, friends!  Today I have two wedding cards to share made with some of the new stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread Designs released this month.
Creative Nugget:  First is this beautiful cake from the Long Lasting Love stamp set.  One of the elegant papers from the Wedding Wishes Collection was stitched to the card base. The Scalloped Chain die cut was cut to fit behind a frame made with Rectangle and Pierced Rectangle Dies.  The cake was stamped and colored with Copic Markers on a Pierced Oval and matted to a Layered Lacey Oval.  The sentiment was white embossed on a banner cut with a Pennant Flag Die.  A few pearls were added to finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  The heart topiary from the Happy Wedding Day stamp set was white embossed on linen, the sentiment white embossed on a vellum banner, and the floral embellishment added to this white and linen card.  One of the sentiments was lightly and randomly stamped on the background and prills were used on the center of the flower and to scatter around the card. The dies used include Rectangle and Pierced Rectangle Dies, a Pennant Flag Die, the Rose Dies, Rose Leaves, and a Fancy Foliage Die.

These cards will be submitted for the following challenges:

Relax!

Hello friends!  I needed a retirement card for my sister-in-law and the "Ways to Use It Challenge" on Splitcoaststampers today to include something sea worthy on your creation was the perfect place to start.  I can think of no better place to relax than at the ocean!

Creative Nugget:  The inspiration for my card design came from last week's CAS(E) This Sketch.  The waves from the Master of the Sea stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps were white embossed on a piece of Neenah Solar Crest card stock.  Oxide inks were sponged on and spritzed with water for the background.  The Ocean Paradise scene was colored with Copic Markers and a few nautical images also from the Master of the Sea were added.  The sentiment was white embossed on a vellum banner to finish the card.

This card will be submitted for the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps and More #247 - Make Your Mark
CAS(E) this Sketch - CTS #226
Simply Create Too Challenge #128 - Summer Fun
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Let's Take a Vacation
Mod Squad Challenge - Colorful Creations

Thanks so much for stopping by...hope you've been inspired!

Spotlight on Fantastic Flowers

Hello friends!  Today is my day to share on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog and thought I'd share here as well.
Creative Nugget:  My card was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch for this week and I ended up with quite a different look...quite clean and bold.  Since the flowers in the Fantastic Flowers stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps are so large, the three concentric circles from the sketch were cut from one of the flower images.  Two of the layers were then colored to spotlight only portions of the flower.  The sentiment was stamped using the new Grunge Type Alpha.  A few splatters were added to finish the card.

Looking Back at the ODBD June 2017 Release

Hello friends!  Today we are taking another look at the beautiful Our Daily Bread Designs June 2017 Release! Love is in the air this month and the images, dies, and papers are perfect for crafting cards and projects for wedding, anniversary, or just to say, "I love you!."

My sample was made using one of the wonderful sentiments from the Happily Ever After stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  Papers from the Wedding Wishes Collection were cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die, and a scalloped edge cut with a Beautiful Borders Die was stitched between the two after white embossing the sentiment.  Hearts cut with the Layering Hearts Dies were linked together and embellished with flowers cut with the Bitty Blossoms Dies and a Leaves and Branches Die. A heart charm was hung from the larger heart and silver pearls were added to the center of the flowers to finish the card.

Here are the fabulous products released by

A Fishy Hello

Hello friends!  The card I'm sharing today was made for several challenges, one of which was the Technique Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

Creative Nugget:  A piece of wax paper was embossed and ironed between two pieces of Neenah card stock.  Distress Oxide inks were sponged on both...one was used for the background of my card and the Tim Holtz Scribble die was used to cut three scribble circles from the other.  The cute fish and sentiment are from the Happy Ocean Friends stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The design for this card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #224.

This card will be submitted for the following challenges:
CAS(E) this Sketch #224
Just Us Girls Word Week #396 - Die-Cuts
Crafting From the Heart Challenge 162 - Anything Goes

As always...thanks so much for stopping by!

Kindness Matters

Hello friends!  Happy Friday!  Today I am sharing a card on the SNSS Blog using two of the new stamp sets from the SNSS June release and thought I'd share here as well.

Creative Nugget:   Flowers and leaves from the new Fantastic Flowers stamp set were randomly white embossed on a Neenah panel.  Watered down Distress and Oxide inks were dabbed onto the card front.  Some white Gesso was painted over the flowers throughout a Tim Holtz stripes stencil.  A circle aperture was cut from the panel.  The sentiment from the Kindness Matters stamp set was centered on my Misti and stamped on another panel so it would show through the aperture.  Acetate covers the window and sequins were sandwiched between the two layers.  One of the large flowers and leaves from the Fantastic Flowers set were stamped and cut with my new Scan 'n Cut (**love**). These were colored with Copic Markers and popped onto the card to frame the sentiment.

Kindness Matters and Fantastic Flowers are available now at the

This card will be submitted for the following challenges:

My first sample was made using the new Happy Wedding Day stamp set and papers from the beautiful Wedding Wishes Collection.
Creative Nugget:  A piece of Tulle was wrapped around paper from the Wedding Wishes Collection and the Scalloped Chain die cut was adhered over top to form the base of the card.  Two other pieces of paper from the same collection were cut with the Leafy Edged Border Die.  The topiary from the Happy Wedding Day stamp set was colored with Copic Markers and cut with the matching Heart Topiary Die and mounted to a frame cut with an Ovals Die and a Layered Lacey Ovals Die.  The sentiment was embossed on the Pennant Flag die cut and the two little love birds were mounted on each end of the sentiment.  A silver bow and some bitty sparkles were added to finish the card.

My second sample uses the new Happily Ever After stamp set.
Creative Nugget:  Papers from the Wedding Wishes Collection were cut with the Pierced Rectangles Die and stitched together for the first layer of the card.  The wonderful new Scalloped Chain Die was used to cut Linen card stock for the second layer. The third layer is a banner cut on one end with a Layering Heart Die.  A Layered Lacey Oval Die, an Ovals Die, and a Pierced Ovals die were used to make a frame for the gold embossed sentiment from the Happily Ever After stamp set.  A Pennant Flag Die and the Small Bow Dies were used to create a bow accent to finish the card.

A matching Surprise Box was created with the Surprise Box Die, the new Mr. & Mrs. Word Die, a sentiment from the Long Lasting Love stamp set, and other previously released dies listed below.
