And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Milk and Cookies

Welcome everyone...it's the third Saturday of the month (can't believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away), AND time for another sketch with a spin at The Sweet Stop!  With visions of roast turkey, stuffing, and all the fixin's, the spin is to use a tasty treat somewhere on your stamped creation.  There's also a chance for a prize at the Sweet 'n Sassy Store where all the digis will be on sale until November 21st...so let's get started!  I was thinking about foods that go together...like turkey and stuffing, bacon and eggs, peas and carrots, but my favorite is milk and cookies!

Creative Nugget:  This darling Tiddly Inks Cookie Bugg digi was printed on Cryogen Iridescent White card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image was cut using a Square Nestie and Diamond Stickles were added to her wings.  The milk glass was printed and fussy cut from Neenah Solar White card stock.  A liberal layer of Glossy Accents was added before popping it on the card with Dimensionals.  The designer papers from Bo Bunny and My Mind's Eye were backed with Purely Pomegranate and stitched to a Neenah Solar White card base.  The sentiment is from the You and Me clear stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and was hand cut to fit on the banner.  The flowers were punched twice and topped with a button threaded with some button twine.  A few pearls finish the card.

Now it's your turn, but before you rush off to start your SSS185 card, check out the marvelous creations by the other Sugar Babies for some fabulous inspiration!

Cheer Up, Buttercup!

Hello, and happy Saturday to you sketch lovin' friends!  It's the first Saturday in September and time for another fabulous sketch at The Sweet Stop!  One of my little cherubs from church had to have her tonsils removed this week, so a combination of the new sketch and a Tiddly Inks digi were used to make the perfect card to help cheer her up!

Creative Nugget:  The "Wryn - Grow a Little Love" digi from Tiddly Inks, was colored with copic markers, cut with an oval nestie, and mounted to a floral oval die which had been cut in half to fit the image.  Several patterned papers from the Alora Collection by Bo Bunny were stitched together on a Smokey Shadow panel.  This was adhered to a Picnic Plaid embossed panel and stitched to another piece of Smokey Shadow card stock.  All of the layers were mounted to a Rocket Red card front...now doesn't that color bring back old SU! memories!  Wryn was popped up on top of a ruffled ribbon and bow.  The sentiment was computer generated and hand cut into a little banner.  A few dew drops were added to finish the card.  This little darling should cheer up my little buttercup, don't you agree?  I did change the orientation of the sketch to accommodate my image.  This card was also submitted for the "Ways to Use It" Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week...Hannah had challenged us to make a card to make someone SMILE!

Be sure to check out the wonderful samples by the other Sugar Babies and play along with SSS174 over at The Sweet Stop.

Sweet Wryn

Hello stampin' friends!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to begin a new week.  I had a chance to relax at the beach last week with my family.  The weather was perfect the whole time we were there and we had a fabulous time....we ate entirely too much! The only glitch was my SIL's car broke down and had to be towed all the way back home.  We managed to pile everyone, including Kody, and ALL the luggage into my car for the trip home...what an experience!  This week promises to be just as busy with VBS and the new August release by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  So, that being said...I apologize for this late post, but I do have a sample for The Sweet Stop sketch this week.

Creative Nugget:  In my copic class, I'm learning how to color trees, so this adorable Tiddly Inks image was perfect.  I'm not sure I have the shading quite right yet, so you'll probably see this tree image popping up again down the road!  I did manage to create a little texture on the tree by dabbing on some colorless blender ink.  Sweet Treat Wryn was also colored with copics, fussy cut out, and popped up in front of the tree.  A dab of Glossy Accents was added to the ice cream.  The colored image was layered on True Black card stock and patterned paper from the Alora Collection by Bo Bunny.  All panels were attached to a Select White card front.  The corner of the main panel was curled and some flowers from the DP were cut out and added.  The sentiment is from the Summertime Rhubarb set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and was stamped on a hand cut flag.  A few colored pearls and some Baker's twine finish the card.

I hope you'll take some time to visit the other Sugar Babies and play along with us at The Sweet Stop!  This sketch is perfect for those large images or for creating a scene!  In either case...I can't wait to see your fabulous creations!
