And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Two for Tuesday - Easter Greetings

Hello friends!  It's time for another Two for Tuesday feature over at the Divinity Designs Blog.  I decided to add to my Easter card stash by using the beautiful Easter Greetings stamp set by Divinity Designs.

Creative Nugget:  A Neenah Solar Crest panel was cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die and mounted to paper from the Plum Pizzazz Paper Pad.  The second layer of Whimsical Wildflowers Paper is also cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die.  The Hyacinth from the Easter Greetings stamp set was colored with Copic Markers and cut with one of the Lever Card Layers Dies.  The sentiment was embossed and cut with an Oval Die.  Organdy Ribbon and Metallic thread were used to to make a bow to finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  Nuvo Mousse was sponged through the Mixed Media Arrows Stencil to add texture to the card front.  After the mousse was dry, the stencil was used to emboss the panel.  Another panel of paper from the Whimsical Wildflowers Collection was added to the stepped up version of the card.  Scalloped Rectangles and Scalloped Ovals were also added to some of the layers.  Two Easter cards ready to go!

Think Spring!

Hello friends!  Finally...it's starting to look and feel more like spring.  Splashes of pink, yellow and purple are bursting into bloom.  Today I am sharing several purple cards including one that was made for the 2018 Mega Sponsor Spring Blog Hop for Our Daily Bread Designs.

Creative Nugget:  Papers from the Whimsical Wildflowers Collection and the Pastels Paper Pack were stitched together to make the background.  The Trellis Strip Die was used to cut two borders which were layered over the papers.  Two hyacinths from the Easter Greetings set were stamped onto a Large Banner die cut and colored with Copic Markers.  A third hyacinth was cut and popped up over the sentiment which was split onto a Pennant Flag die cut.  A jute twine bow was added to finish the card.

The next two cards were made for the ODBD Two for Tuesday feature.

Creative Nugget:  The design for this card is from CAS(E) this Sketch.  Different shades of purple Distress Oxide Inks were used to create the simple background which was cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die.  An area for the sentiment was masked and the flowers from the To My Friend stamp set were stamped in Archival Jet Black ink and embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder.  A gemstone was placed in the middle of each flower and some sequins added for additional sparkle.  The sentiment was stamped in the masked off area.

For the stepped up version, an Oval was die cut from the flowers and framed with a die cut made with one of the Layered Lacey Ovals.  The sentient was stamped on a Pierced Rectangle die cut and butterflies from The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo were added.

Looking Back at the ODBD March 2018 Release

Good morning, friends!  Today we are taking another look at the ODBD March 2018 Release.  I have two cards to share with you using some of the new products.

My first card was made with the Easter Greetings stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  The paper behind the Lattice Background die cut is from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad.  A frame was made with Pierced Rectangles Dies.  The panel with the copic colored hyacinth from the Easter Greetings set was made with a Double Stitched Rectangle Die and a Stitched Ovals dies.  Double Stitched Circle and Circle dies were used to cut the embossed sentiment.  A Bitty Butterflies Die was use to create an accent for the card.  Some jute twine ties everything together.

The new Ampersand and Pierced Heart dies were used to create a wedding card.

Creative Nugget:  What?  No stamping on this card...all dies!  The papers used for both panels on the card are from the Wedding Wishes Paper Pad.  ODBD Custom Dies used include Large Banners, Ampersand, Alphabet, Pierced Heart, Layering Hearts, Bitty Blossoms, and Fancy Foliage.

Welcome to the ODBD March 2018 Release

Good morning, friends!  Easter, Spring, Monogram Letters, and beautiful papers  are being featured on today's Our Daily Bread Designs March 2018 Release.

My first sample uses the new Hoppy Birthday stamp set.
Creative Nugget: The cute bunny from the Hoppy Birthday stamp set was Copic colored on a panel cut with a Pierced Squares die. The sentiment was embossed on a Pierced Circles die cut and clouds were sponged on the background.  A layer of paper from the new Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad was cut with a Leafy Edged Border Die.  A Bitty Border and Mini Bow were added to finish the card.

My second sample was made with the Easter Greetings stamp set.
Creative Nugget: The front of the card was created by stitching papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad together and the panel cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die.  The Hyacinth from the Easter Greetings stamp set was colored with copic Markers and the panel cut with a Double Stitched Rectangle Die.  The sentiment was embossed on a panel cut with a Double Stitched Square Die.  The bulb of the hyacinth was stamped, colored again, fussy cut and popped onto the card for some dimension. Some twine ties everything together and finishes off the card.

My final sample used one of the new monogram letters...Letter M Die
Creative Nugget:  White card stock and papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad were layered for the card front.  The layers were cut with a combination of dies...Pierced Rectangles, Double Stitched Rectangles, Lavish Layers, Pierced Circle, and even the insert from The Giving Gift Box Dies.  The Letter M was popped onto the circle and Bitty Blossoms Dies were used to add some flowers to the card.
