And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Celebrating 6 Years at ODBD

That's right... the Our Daily Bread Designs Store has been open for SIX years! We are celebrating today with four new Anniversary stamp sets...two Scripture Collections: 12 and 13, a Quote Collection, and a Sentiment Collection.  Each member of the Design Team has contributed their favorite scripture, quote, or sentiment to these inspiring "Go TO" stamp sets, so sit back and enjoy the samples we have made for you!

Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers' blogs to receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store to be used towards the purchase of ODBD stamps.  ONE lucky random commenter will be chosen to win the 2014 Anniversary Bundle!  You have until March 18th, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments!  The winners will be posted here on the ODBD Blog on March 19th, so be sure to check back to see if you won!

My first sample is my contribution to Quote Collection 4.
Creative Nugget:  The scene from The Mighty Sea was sponged, stamped with Versafine ink, and colored with Copic Markers on a Solar Crest panel.  A frame was cut from Kraft card stock with Classic Circle Nesties, stamped with the Fishing Net Background, and attached so the sea could be seen through the frame.  The banner panel was hand cut, sponged, and stamped with the Corrie ten Boom quote.  Some piercing was done inside the frame and a little stitching holds the banner onto the card front.  Some netting and shells were added and the front panels attached to a Basic Black card base.  Two little sea birds were carefully hand cut and popped on for dimension to finish the card.

Here is another quote from Quote Collection 4:
Creative Nugget:  Spellbinder Opulent Oval Dies and some soft sponging were used to frame this beautiful quote from the set. The SB A2 Filigree Delight Die was stitched to Kraft card stock and mounted to a Blushing Bride card base to form the front of the card.  Piercing was added around the frame and an ODBD Custom Beautiful Border Die was attached toward the bottom of the frame.  The seam binding was sponged to match the card and attached between the oval layers.  The tails of the bow were woven through the gaps in the frame.  One of the small hearts from the Bless Your Heart stamp set was white embossed on kraft and the other was sponged on Vintage Cream.  Both were cut with the ODBD Custom Ornate Heart Dies.  A few pink pearls finish the card.

I just love all of the quotes from this wonderful set and know that I will be reaching for them time and again!  Here are the many ODBD supplies used to create these two samples:

Looking Back at the ODBD February Release

Hello friends!  Today we are revisiting the fabulous Our Daily Bread Designs February Release.  This release was just brimming with love and lots of gorgeous hearts.  Here's a sample made with just a few of them!

Creative Nugget:  The front of the card was created by stitching and piercing together several new designer papers from the beautiful Heart & Soul Paper Collection.  One of the Beautiful Border Dies was cut twice and layered with a strip of DP to make the scalloped border.  The shaker part of the card was created by stamping the Bless Your Heart on Select White card stock and cutting it with the scalloped Ornate Heart Die.  A sentiment from the set was also stamped on this piece.  The frame was cut using two of the Ornate Heart Dies nested together.  The smallest of the heart dies was used to make the hearts inside the shaker, and little pearls were added to some of them.  A piece of acetate was attached to the back of the scalloped frame.  A double layer of mounting tape was used to attach the frame to the stamped heart with the little hearts inside.  A bow and one of the little hearts finish the card.

These materials from the

Bless Your Heart

Hello friends and happy Saturday!  Since I don't have to work this Saturday, I found myself with some stamping time this morning!  The card I made is a sneak peek of some beautiful new heart stamps, dies, and sentiments being released by Our Daily Bread Designs on February 1st. These stamp sets are perfect for Valentines, encouragement, wedding cards, or just to express your love any time of the year.  The best news is they are available now in the Our Daily Bread Designs Store as a Pre-Order!

Here is a card I made with the Bless Your Heart Stamp set and the Ornate Heart Dies:

Creative Nugget:  My card was inspired by this Prayer Journal Cover on the Integrity Graphics site.  The Deuteronomy 6:5 scripture verse, from the Scripture Series 3 stamp set, was embossed on the Fancy Pants designer paper.  This panel was stitched to Vintage Cream card stock and mounted on a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" Cherry Cobbler card base.  The top and bottom hearts were embossed on the same paper and cut with the Ornate Hearts Dies. The large heart in the middle was cut from coordinating papers also using the Ornate Hearts Dies.  The hearts were hung from the top of the card with twine.  A loopy bow and a pearl were aded to finish the card.

I just love this scripture verse.  It is only because the Lord loves us that we are able to love Him and others…We love Him because He first loved us! (1 John 4:19)

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
