And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Looking Back at the ODBD May 2016 Mid-Month Release

Howdy friends!  Happy Memorial Day!  Today we are taking another look at the  Our Daily Bread Designs May 2016 Mid-Month Release!  I used two of the western themed stamp sets for my project…Howdy and Ride 'Em Cowboy.

Creative Nugget:  The Bendi Frame Card Tutorial was modified to make a dimensional shadow box frame that was attached to the front of the card base.  Rectangle and Double Stitched Rectangle Dies were used to create the frame.  A scene was then layered inside the frame to create my card sample using the new Howdy and Ride 'Em Cowboy stamp sets.  The mountains from the Keep Climbing stamp set were masked, stamped twice, and watercolored on water color paper to form the back of the scene. The mountains were stamped and water colored again on mixed media paper so that the silhouette image from Howdy could be added.  This layer was fussy cut and popped up on the background.  The cowboy image from Ride 'Em Cowboy was stamped, fussy cut and adhered to the inside of the frame to create a third layer of dimension.  A cactus was added to the scene along with a sentiment which was stamped on a piece cut with the Log Cabin Quilt Die.  **Hint: these pieces are perfect for stamping sentiments!  A little lasso made from twine was attached behind the sentiment to finish the card.

…and some old favorites previously released:

I saw your western theme cards from ODBD in a Splitcoast Stampers challenge for masculine cards. They are lovely and beautifully made. I am interested in checking out the ODBD stamps but am sure where to find them. Are they available online or are there any stores on the east coast? I am in southern NJ, near PA and DE.
