More Dare to Get Dirty!

Hello friends…happy Saturday!  Well, "Dare to Get Dirty" week is just about over, but you can still upload cards until Monday so I have two more cards to share with you today using products from Our Daily Bread Designs!

Creative Nugget:  The Boho Paisley Background was white embossed, then watercolored.  The triangle flap of Blushing Rose paper was stitched to the card front.  The Boho Love heart was stamped in Distress ink over a watercolored panel and cut and layered with the Ornate Heart Dies.  The sentiment from the Banner Sentiments stamp set was cut with the banner in the Birdcage & Banner Die Set.  Seam binding, twine, and a Mini Tag die cut were added to finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  Masking tape was used to lay down colors in a plaid pattern.  The Boho Paisley Background stamp was clear embossed over the colors.  This panel was then cut with the Boho Background Dies.  The little pieces were saved to be randomly placed back into the die cut.  The white panel was also clear embossed with the Boho Paisley Background stamp.  A plaid panel was added.  The Boho Faith paisley was also stamped on a plaid panel and highlighted with a white paint pen.  Part of one of the sentiments from the Boho Faith set was cut apart and popped onto the horizontal banner.   The butterfly from Butterfly & Bugs was stamped and cut with the matching Butterfly & Bugs Die.  A few rhinestones were added to finish the card.  The color inspiration for this card came from the  ODBD Shining the Light Challenge for this week.

Welcome to ODBD August 2015 Release

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August 2015 Release!   Our Daily Bread Designs is going Boho this month.  Get ready for some colorful August inspiration full of hearts, paisleys, and butterflies from the talented Bread Basket Designers!

Here are my projects using many of the products from this month's release:

Creative Nugget:  My Kaleidacolor pads and brayer were begging to be used for this release!  It's been ages since they have seen the light of day.  The brayer was used to ink up the beautiful Boho Paisley Background stamp with Kaleidacolors to stamp the background panel which was then cut into two sections.  The new Oval Die was used to cut an oval in the middle of the bottom section along with two button cut outs made with one of the Matting Circle Dies.  The sentiment from the Boho Love set was stamped using the same Kaleidacolor pad on a Stitched Oval.  The little flowers are also from the Boho Love stamp set. Kaleidacolors were brayered onto a piece of Neenah Solar Crest card stock and the paisley design from the Boho Faith stamp set was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.  This was cut using a Vintage Label Die and matted in black. A white pen was used to highlight some of the areas in the paisley design.  A few skittles and a white bow were added to finish the card.

My second sample was made on a pre-cut and scored Double Display Card.

Creative Nugget:  The panels of the card were layered with pink card stock and papers from the Beautiful Boho Collection.  The Faith and Hope words were cut three times, stacked together, and mounted to layered Ovals and Stitched Ovals.  The oval frame was mounted on top of the ribbon and attached only to the left side of the card to create the closure.

The card opens to reveal the Boho Love paisley heart which was stamped over a brayered panel of Kaleidacolor.  The Ornate Heart Dies were used to cut the heart, the mat, and the little hearts sprinkled throughout the card.  The sentiment from the Boho Love set was stamped and matted on Ovals and attached to the right side panel.  A few Skittles were sprinkled around the card for a fun finish.
