Looking Back at Divinity Designs October 2019 Release

Good morning, friends...happy Friday!  Today I have several projects to share using products from the Divinity Designs October 2019 Release.

My first project is a Half Shutter Card using the Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo, the Pinecones & Pine Branches Dies and the Merry Christmas Die.

Creative Nugget:  The base of the card was cut with the Half-Shutter Card with Layers Dies with the layers being cut from papers in the Christmas Collection 2017 Paper Pad.  The Merry Christmas Dies were used to make the greeting on the front panel.

One of the sentiments from the Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo was gold embossed on a panel cut with a Pierced Circle Die and layered onto a gold embossed Circle die cut.  The foliage on this panel was cut with the Pinecones & Pine Branches Dies.

The Deer Ornament on the back panel was white embossed on one of the coordinating papers in the Christmas Collection 2017 Paper Pad and was also embellished with Pinecones & Pine Branches.   A bow made with metallic gold floss was added to finish the card.

My second card uses the Deer Silhouette Die and papers from the Rustic Christmas Paper Pad.

Creative Nugget:  Both white panels were cut with Pierced Rectangle Dies, embossed using the Arrows Stencil and layered onto black panels cut with Scalloped Rectangle Dies.  The buffalo plaid paper was also cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die and modified to fit the card.  A sentiment from the Loads of Love Stamp/Die Duo was white embossed on a banner cut with one of the Treat Tags Dies.  Other dies used to embellish the card include the Deer Silhouette, Pinecones & Pine Branches, and the Test Tube Trios Dies for the little bow.  Black Pearls were added to finish the card.

For my first sample I used the adorable Rhubarb's Harvest stamp set which is a remix of many of the favorite retired Rhubarb stamp sets perfect for fall.

Creative Nugget:  The outline hexagons from the Cheerful Hexies stamp set were white embossed on a Kraft panel.  White and black acrylic paints were splattered onto the panel.  Oxide inks were applied to the solid hexagons, spritzed with water and stamped on a piece of mixed media paper.  The matching outline stamps were stamped in black making a border around each shape.  The hexagons were cut with my Scan 'N Cut and randomly popped onto the card front.  Rhubarb was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and added to the card.  The sentiment was black embossed on a white strip and tucked under Rhubarb. A jute bow was added to finish the card.

My second sample was made with the new Succulents stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  Oxide inks were streaked on a stitched rectangle panel and stamped with the pebble stamp in the Texture Tiles 2 stamp set.  A sentiment from the Scripty Thoughts stamp set was embossed on a sponged panel and a Penny Black frame die cut was popped on the panel.  Several succulents from the stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut out and arranged on the frame.  Some sparkle embellishments were added to finish the card.

The new produces used on the cards above are now available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.

Blessed Beyond Measure

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing some Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps inspiration for you over on the SNSS Blog.

My first card features a little sneak peek of a wonderful new stamp set being released next week on October 7th as part of the October Release.

Creative Nugget:  Some of the smaller succulents from the stamp set were randomly stamped in light green ink over the background.  The grid from Texture Tiles 1 was stamped in purple ink.  A second panel was embossed with a leafy stencil.  Oxide ink was rubbed onto the raised edges to bring out the detail. This panel was cut in half lengthwise and added to the background. Different succulents from the stamp set were colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  A sentiment from the Faith Wordfetti stamp set was white embossed on a purple strip.  A few gems were added to finish the card.

My second card features the adorable Fur-ever Friends stamp set released last month.  This card was also used as the inspiration for the Sketch Challenge this week on Splitcoaststampers.

Creative Nugget:  Stripes of Oxide Inks were sponged on a white panel and then a different leafy stencil was used to emboss some texture on the background.  The wood pattern from Wood Backgrounds was stamped on a strip used to ground the cute little fox which was colored with Copic Markers, cut with my Scan 'N Cut and popped onto the card.  Some of the leaves from the set were colored and added to the card.  The sentiment was stamped on a hand cut banner and white gems were added to finish the card.

The following stamp sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store were used for the cards above:

Welcome to the Divinity Designs October 2019 Release

Hello, friends...Happy Fall!  ***My favorite season...love the colors!***  Hope your week got off to a wonderful start.  It's time for another fantastic release by Divinity Designs Not only are we getting ready for Christmas, but there is a little something there for other occasions as well.  I have quite a few projects to share...just take a look!

My first sample features the new Treat Tower Dies, Deer Silhouette, and the gorgeous Rustic Christmas Paper Pad!

Creative Nugget:  The Treat Tower Dies were used to cut the base of the box from heavy card stock and the layers from pretty papers from the Rustic Christmas Paper Pad...I'm just loving that plaid!  After the base and inside boxes for the tower were assembled, it was time to decorate the outside of the box and the new Deer Silhouette Die was the perfect accent.  Pierced Circle and Circle dies were used to make a base for the deer head.  The little sentiment is from the new Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo and was embossed on a Treat Tag die cut.  The Pine Branches Dies and twine were used to tie everything together.

The little boxes inside are perfect for tucking in yummy little treats!

My next project uses the new Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo.

Creative Nugget:  Oxide Inks were sponged onto the top third of a square panel of mixed media paper.  The sentiment from the Deer Ornament Stamp/Die Duo was gold embossed on the bottom and the circle die included in the set was used to cut the aperture for the shaker.  The panel was then embossed using the Circles Stencil.  The hangers for the ornaments were also gold embossed.  The shaker was backed with paper from the Rustic Christmas Paper Pad and gems added behind the acetate.  The Deer Ornament was gold embossed and a Circle Die used to create a small border around the ornament. Greenery was created with Pine Cones & Pine Branches Dies and the smaller Pine Branches Dies.  Gems were added to finish the shaker card!

My final project was created using the Loads of Love Stamp/Die Duo.

Creative Nugget:  The back panel was cut from mixed media paper with a Pierced Rectangle Die and smooshed with watered down Oxide Inks.  Curvy Slopes Dies were used to cut three snow drifts which were sponged with Tumbled Glass Oxide Ink. The truck and tree from the Loads of Love Stamp/Die Duo set were colored with Copic Markers and cut with the coordinating dies.  Other dies used to create the scene include the Trees & Deers Dies, the Farm Fence Die, and the Merry Christmas Die. Gems were added to complete the card.

These new products from Divinity Designs were used to create the cards above...
