SNSS - Winter Birds

Hello friends!  Praying for those on the East Coast as they prepare for Hurricane Florence...stay safe!

All the rain we've been having is an incentive to stay inside and get stamping projects finished.  Today I'm sharing a card using the new Winter Birds stamp set just release by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, a new technique, and the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch.

Creative Nugget:  Forest Moss, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks were applied directly to a tree stencil. This was spritzed with water and pressed onto a piece of heavy mixed media paper.  I rubbed the back of the stencil with a paper towel, carefully lifted the stencil off the paper and dried the inks with a heat tool to create the background.  A frame was cut using stitched rectangle dies.  The sentiment from the Truth Quotes 1 stamp set was embossed inside the frame. The blue jay and holly leaves from the Winter Birds set were colored with Copic Markers and Glossy Accents applied to the berries.  Clear Nuvo Drops were added to finish the card.

This card will be submitted for the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Cathymac
