What's Cookin' at ODBD?

Hello friends!  Today Our Daily Bread Designs will be adding two sweet new stamp sets and a die set to the ODBD Store perfect for Mother's Day and for cooking up some homemade note cards with a baking theme.

Here is my first sample...

Creative Nugget:  The new Star Quilt Die and some Americana Papers were used to piece together an apron which was cut with the previously released Apron & Tools Die.  Some new baking tools from the new Baking Tools die set were added to the pocket of the apron…a Vintage Label die cut with the new Mother's Day Baking Tools sentiment.

…and how about some Homemade Pie?

Creative Nugget:  The front of the card was made using papers from the Blushing Rose Collection, the Vintage Flourished Pattern Die, The Window Dies, and the Welcoming Window Die.  The cherry pie from the new Homemade Pie stamp set was paper pieced, colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  The tray and the measuring spoons were cut with the new Baking Tools die set. A sweet sentiment from the Homemade Pie set was stamped on a Mini Tag and added to finish the card.

Here are the new supplies being added to the ODBD Store used to make these cards:

Head on over to the Our Daily Bead Designs Blog to see some more fabulous samples the Design Team has cooked up!

Looking Back at the ODBD April 2016 Release

Welcome, my friends!  Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs April 2016 Release.   I love stitching on cards so the new quilt themed stamps and dies released this month were a perfect addition to my stamp collection.  The quilt dies make it "sew" easy to make a whole set of note cards for friends and family.

My sample today uses The Dresden Quilt Stamp, Quilted With Love, and the Log Cabin Quilt Die.

Creative Nugget:  The Dresden Quilt Stamp was white embossed on a piece of Bristol Board Paper, water colored with Kuretake Watercolors, and cut with one of the Square Dies.  The quilt was then matted and layered onto a Log Cabin Quilt die cut that was pieced with papers from the Cozy Quilt Collection and matching card stocks.  Since the sentiment from the Quilted With Love set did not fit on one of the pennants, I cut my own using the Double Stitched Rectangles and the Double Stitched Squares.  The second pennant was cut with the Pennant Dies from a piece of paper from the Cozy Quilt Collection.  The quilts were attached to a card front and stitched to the card base.  The ribbon was hit with the heat tool for a few seconds to give it some curl and a rhinestone sticker was added to finish the card.

Here are the new products from the
Our Daily Bread Designs Store used to make this card…

Trust God

Hello dear friends…hope you are having a good week! Nothing says Spring more than flowers blooming, so I have a few cards to share that were done for some card challenges and to usher in more spring-like weather..

Creative Nugget: This was SC587 done for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The Blushing Rose papers by ODBD are just beautiful and made layering them so easy.  The sentiment is from the Life is a Gift stamp set.  The following dies were used to cut the layers: Rectangles, Lavish Layers, Pennants, and Pretty Posies.  Silk ribbon and Prills were added to finish the card.

Creative Nugget:  How comforting is this scripture verse from the Grace's Strength stamp set.  This card was made for Lisa's Shabby Chic Challenge today on Splitcoaststampers and for the Fusion Card Challenge.  The butterfly is from the Trois Jolis Papillons stamp set and cut with the matching Tres Papillons Die. Other ODBD custom dies used are Filigree Frames, Pretty Posies, Bitty Blossoms, and the Flourished Star Pattern Die.  A bit of modeling paste applied through a stencil was added across the card as well as silk ribbon and some Prills in the middle of the flowers.

These cards will be submitted for the following challenges:
Fusion Card Challenge - Orchid Occasions

Word Art Wednesday #224-#225 - Anything Goes
Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards #106 - Spring is in the Air
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - April 2016

Happy Birthday, Korin!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Korin,
Happy Birthday to you!
(This is the best singing you will hear from me...LOL!)

Hello friends!  The card I will be posting today is in honor of my dear, sweet friend, Korin Sutherland, owner of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The ladies on the Creative Teams at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will be celebrating in a special way, so we hope you will join us for a day filled with special offers and a fantastic giveaway!  Be sure to check out the details at the following social media venues:

As many of you know, Korin loves her fur babies so here is a birthday card made especially for her:

Creative Nugget: The current Mojo Monday sketch was used for the design of this card.  Cat paws from the Kitty Love stamp set were randomly embossed over the top 2/3 of the card front and then sponged with Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, and Ground Espresso distress inks.  The cats from the same set were stamped at the bottom.  Sentiments from the Kitty Love set and the LOL Cats set were white embossed and then stamped again with Archival ink to create a shadow on the square panel.  It was then sponged with the same inks.  Next, a piece of designer paper from my scrap box was added.  Finally the kitty from the Valentine Critters set was colored with Copic Markers and cut with the matching Valentine Critters Die.  The sentiment was curved on the block to match the curve of the circle.  A couple of hearts and some rhinestones finish the card.
Here are the stamp and die sets from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store used to make my card:

This card will be submitted for the following challenges:

My first sample was made using the A Time to Mend stamp set and the new Log Cabin Quilt Die.

Creative Nugget:  Cozy Quilt Collection Papers and matching card stock were cut with the Log Cabin Quilt Die to make the quilt in the middle of the card.  Left over paper and a Boho Background Die embossed piece of card stock were pieced together with a Beautiful Border to make the card front.  The  adorable sewing machine from the A Time to Mend stamp set was embossed on a Circle die cut and mounted to a Double Stitched Circle.  One of the Pennants Dies were used to make a banner for the embossed sentiment also from the A Time to Mend stamp set.  Stitching, silk ribbon, and button accents were added to finish the card.

Quilted With Love and the Star Quilt Die were used to make my second sample.

Creative Nugget.  The Star Quilt Die was used to cut both kraft and white card stock.  The white pieces were sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress ink and pieced back into the kraft star quilt frame. The Filigree Frame die cut fit around the quilt perfectly.  The quilt was mounted to a card front made with one of the beautiful papers from the Cozy Quilt Paper Collection cut with the Flourished Star Pattern Die.  The sentiment from the Quilted With Love stamp set was embossed on one of the Tag Trio die cuts.  The Small Bow Die was used to cut a matching bow from the Cozy Quilt paper. Several pearls were added to finish the card.
