Welcome to ODBD October 2015 Mid-Month Release

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs October 2015 Mid-Month Release!   The stamps, dies, and papers Our Daily Bread Designs is releasing today are perfect for creating your Christmas cards for this year!  Wait until you see the gorgeous creations the Breadsticks have prepared for you!

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the Design Team cards!  You have until October 16th, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the Designers' Blogs for a chance to win!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on October, 17th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first sample uses the Perfect Light Stamp set and the cute Windowsill Candles Dies.
Creative Nugget: My favorite Boho Background Die was embossed on the first layer of the card.  The panels were created by matting papers from the Christmas Card Collection 2015 with scarlet and gold card stock.  The beautiful Leafy Edged Border Dies were used to make the valence panel at the top.  A sentiment from the Perfect Light stamp set was gold embossed on a Stitched Oval die cut and matted with an Oval cut from scarlet card stock.  A windowsill cut with the Flower Box Fillers Die provides a place for the Windowsill Candles which were cut twice, once from Vintage Cream card stock and once from gold.  Extra leaves were cut for added texture and matching gold seam binding added to finish the card.

My second sample is a Book Fold card.
Creative Nugget:  The front of the Book Fold was made by stamping the O Holy Night Background stamp in Versafine ink and clear embossing it directly on paper from the Christmas Card Collection 2015 pack.  Ornaments on the tree were colored with Copic Markers and covered with Glossy Accents.  A tag from the Christmas Card Collection 2015 was cut with the matching Mini Tag Die along with the little heart charm.  These were tied to the card front with dyed silk ribbon and gold metallic thread.

A night time scene was created on the inside of the Book Fold card to go along with the O Holy Night music score on the front of the card.
Creative Nugget:  The inside panels were lined with paper from both the Christmas Card Collection 2015 and the Christmas Collection 2015 and matted with black and gold card stock.  Stars from the Shine On stamp set were gold embossed on black card stock and splatters of white acrylic paint added.  The windows were cut with the Welcoming Window Dies and sponging added while still in the die to highlight the embossing.   The Windowsill Candles were cut from gold paper and the little bows added to finish the inside of the card.
