My first sample uses the new Shower of Blessings stamp set and the new Clouds & Raindrops Dies :
Creative Nugget: The Chalkboard Lattice Background was clear embossed on a piece of watercolor paper. Rainbow colors were watercolored over the embossing which was then ironed off after the watercolors had dried. Two clouds were cut from this panel using the Clouds & Raindrops Dies and one other cloud was cut from Neenah Solar Crest card stock. The white cloud and a Smokey Shadow mat was covered with VersaMark ink and embossed with clear sparkle glitter. A curvy panel was cut with a Spellbinders Curvy Border Die on which a sentiment from the Shower of Blessings set was stamped . After attaching the curvy border, the whole panel was cut down using the large pierced rectangle from the Flourished Star Pattern Die. The watercolored panel was popped up on the glittery Smokey Shadow panel. The showers were created using rhinestones and little heart raindrops cut with the Clouds & Raindrops Dies. A few scattered rhinestones were added to finish the card.
My second project was made like a sampler using one of the sentiments in the new How Sweet the Sound stamp set and the beautiful Layered Lacey Squares Dies.
Creative Nugget: First, the bottom of a 5 1/2" square card base was cut with a Spellbinders Scalloped Border Die. ODBD Paper Collections are so gorgeous, even the smallest of scraps are saved and put to use. Scraps from the Soulful Stitches Paper Collection were used to create a patchwork sampler which was stitched to a Smokey Shadow mat. The Faithful Fish Pattern Die was used to emboss this panel and a Beautiful Border was attached to the bottom before mounting it to the card base. The new Layered Lacey Square Dies (Swoon) along with SB Square Nesties were used to make the different layers for the frame. The verse from the How Sweet the Sound Stamp set was stamped on the top layer. The Spool & Tape Single stamp, colored with Copic Markers and cut with the coordinating Spool & Tape Die was the perfect accent for the sampler card which was finished off with a bit of seam binding and some pearls.
