This first card was made with the pretty fall scene from the Autumn Tree stamp set.
Creative Nugget: I put my Copics aside for this one and tried the old, but neglected technique of coloring directly on the stamp with water based markers to color the scene from the Autumn Tree stamp set. A cloud template was used to lightly sponge clouds behind the tree. Fall colors were added to a piece of mixed media paper using the No Wrinkle Distress technique, and the Leaves Background was stamped over this with Potting Soil Archival ink. The little heart was cut with one of the Ornate Hearts Dies from a little scrap left over from a previous project…yes, I tend to keep a lot of scraps as you never know when something will come in handy! LOL! The Pennant Die cut the burlap framing the sentiment like butter. A border of burlap was also added behind the main panel. The sentiment from the Autumn Tree set was stamped on a Pennant die cut and a little bow made with a fiber from the burlap was added to finish the card.
The second card was made with the new God's Timing stamp set.
Creative Nugget: The background panels and the Vintage Label tag were made using the clock image from the God's Timing stamp set, a variety of stencils, distress inks, and even a little modeling paste. The clock was cut with the Matting Circles Die, given several coats of utee, and then was cracked in several places to give it an aged look. Stitching, a Beautiful Border, and some seam binding tie the elements on the card together.
