Snowman Soup

Hello friends!  Welcome to Day 6 and the last hop for 
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps September Release!  If you love snowmen, you will love this adorable set designed by Diane Zechman. The images are perfect for making cards and gifts that warm the heart.
Today's feature is:

Here is my sample for Snowman Soup using the

Mug Template available at SNSS:



Creative Nugget: The Mug template was downloaded, traced on a top-folded card base, and cut.  The snowflakes from the Snowflake Flourish stamp set were white embossed on the Solar Crest card front.  Summer Sky, Danube Blue, and Nautical Blue inks were sponged over the snowflakes.  The snowman image was stamped, colored with Copic Markers, and cut with a Classic Circle Nestie.  I discovered that the little mug image fit perfectly in the hands of the snowman...how cool is that!  The mittens were stamped again, colored, cut out, and popped up on the mug for some dimension.  Paper embossed with Swiss Dots was torn to fit on the bottom of the mug to look like snow.  Swirls were embossed on the whipped cream and a little tag attached with seam binding to finish the card.  This card along with a jar of cocoa mix would make a lovely gift at Christmas...don't you think?

    Cathy, this mug of snowman soup is awesome! I love all the elements. And I really like the addition to lavender in your coloring. And that little snowman on the mug being held by the larger snowman - *sigh* It's sooo cute : ) And yes, I think this card with a jar of cocoa mix would be a perfect gift from heart and hand to another ~ a sweet, sweet offering. Thank you for sharing this adorable card (love that mug template!)

    Wow! What a work of art Cathy! I do love how the little mug fits into the snowman's mittened hands-great discovery! Your work on the mug is wonderful; love the embossed flakes and sponging, and the whipped cream is so clever!

    Using the mug card template for this card was pure genius!! Love how you used the embossing folder to create swirls in the "whipped cream".
