ODBD September Release

September brings thoughts of back to school, the beginning of fall, and time to seriously begin working on this year's Christmas cards.  Whether you need an apple for the teacher or wonderful Christmas images for those Christmas cards, Our Daily Bread Designs September release has something perfect just for you!

You can see all of the fabulous samples created by the talented Breadsticks with this month's new stamp sets and dies on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.  One winner will be randomly chosen from one of the designers blog comments to receive a $50 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps.  You have until September 3, 2013 at 9:00 p.m. EST to make your comments!  The Winner will be posted on the ODBD Blog on September 4th, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

My first sample is from the gorgeous
Christmas stamp set, Jingle Bells.

Creative Nugget: The Center Step card was made with Select White card stock following THIS tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. Each panel was layered with Blueberry Sky and a Solar crest panel that was masked and sponged with Memento inks.  White acrylic paint was used to stamp the Sparkling Snowflakes on the background.  The Christmas bells from the new Jingle Bells stamp set were stamped on the center panel and again on another piece of Solar Crest paper, colored with Copic Markers, cut out, and popped on top for dimension.  The Fence Die was added as well as a torn piece of Select White embossed with Swiss Dots.  The sentiment from the Jingle Bells set was stamped and cut with a Spellbinders Banner Die.  A seam binding bow and some rhinestones add a little sparkle and finish the card.

My second sample is from the new Apples stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  Several layers of Solar Crest card stock were sponged with Antique Linen Distress Ink, embossed with different embossing folders, and stitched together to form the card base. The beautiful, elegant corner treatment was cut with the new Decorative Corners die and sponged with Antique Linen ink while still in the die. The sentiment from the Apples set was stamped and hand cut into a fishtail banner, and a loopy silk bow was added.  The apples were stamped in Tuxedo Black ink and cut with a Spellbinders Label Eighteen Die.   Brown and Sepia Copic Markers were used to color the image to give it a vintage look. Pearls were added for a touch of elegance.  This was a little bit of a different take on coloring the apples, but I like the way it turned out and hope you do , too!

These supplies, available at the Our Daily Bread Designs Store, were used to create my samples:
