Vintage Baby Buggy

Hello all...I'm glad it's Saturday because it's time for a new sketch at The Sweet Stop!  My nephew and his wife, after two devastating pregnancies, are finally having a baby girl, and the baby shower is next Sunday.  Guess what kind of card I made for this week's sketch!

Creative Nugget: I just love the SNSS Vintage Baby stamp set designed by Dina Kowal, so I decided to use the baby buggy from that set for my focal image.  The sentiment was stamped first in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink on Solar Crest card stock.  Then the buggy was stamped with VersaMark over the sentiment and clear embossed.  A Classic Circle Nestie was used to cut the image and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink was sponged on while still in the die. This was mounted to another classic circle die cut from My Mind's Eye DP and a Lacey Circle Die cut from Kraft card stock.  Nothing says "baby girl" quite like pink gingham, so pink gingham DP, Kraft and Solar Crest card stocks were stitched together to complete the panels for the sketch.  A seam binding ribbon distressed with inks was added before attaching the card to a Solar Crest card base.  A few pearls finish the card.

For more inspiration, check out the rest of the Sugar Babies and join us this week over at The Sweet Stop...we love to see your creations!
