This week's challenge is:
LOVE - use pink, white, and red or hearts, in honor of Valentine's Day. The hearts can be in an embossing folder, embellishment, or designer paper.
To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a PRIZE, a $15 gift certificate to the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Saturday, February 3rd at 8 p.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.
While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing three or more of our participants for the Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award; however, you must use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Sunday, February 3rd at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creation to Splitcoaststampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword ODBDSLC140. When posting your creation on your blog, please include a link to the challenge.
By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]. (John 13:35)
My sample for this week's Shining the Light Challenge is a Tent Topper card.
Creative Nugget: Two complementary patterns were chosen from the Kissing Booth Paper Pad by BasicGrey and stitched to Early Espresso card stock, then mounted to a Fine Linen card front. Ribbon and a bow were added along with a tiny ribbon rose. The intertwining hearts are from the Love One Another stamp set and were colored with Copic Markers. Oval and Floral Oval Dies were used to cut and mount the image panels, and a little sponging added while still in the die. A few heart crystals were added as accents to highlight the wonderful verse from the third chapter of John!
