SNSS August Release Blog Hop

Welcome to another fabulous Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps New Release Blog Hop!  Now that August is here, it won't be long before the weather cools, the season changes, and fall will be here!  Our new stamps being released this month will help you get ready for autumn with falling leaves, back to school images, turkey feathers, and warm sentiments.  Grab some refreshments and get comfortable!  As you hop along, you will see incredible projects created by the Design Team Divas!  Make sure you leave a comment on each blog along the way because one lucky person will be selected from a random blog to win the two new stamp sets of their choice from the sets being released! All comments must be completed by 8:00 EST tonight.  After the hop, head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy Store where you will find all of the new sets available for purchase!
Are you ready to hop?

If you came here from Jessica's Blog, you are in the right place!  If not, the hop begins at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog...you won't want to miss any autumn eye candy!

For my first sample, I used the adorable new Pumpkin Kitty Clear Stamp Set.  This little set includes one image and three sentiments.  It is also the stamp set you will receive free with a $50 purchase during the month of August!

Creative Nugget: Pumpkin Kitty was colored with copic markers, cut with a circle nestie, and mounted onto a Chocolate Chip scalloped circle.  Papers from the Forever Fall Collection Paper Pad by Bo Bunny were pieced together and sewn to Chocolate Chip panels.   The corners of the center panel were rounded.  The little picket fence was also cut from the same paper pad.  All layers were attached to a Vintage Cream card front.  The sentiment was stamped onto a banner that was punched with a photo corner punch.  Pearls were colored and added to the fence.  Glossy Accents was added to the kitty's eyes.  Isn't she CUTE?!

My second sample is from the new Autumn Collage Clear Stamp Set which includes one collage image and five sentiments.  This set coordinates perfectly with the Autumn Leaves and Flowers in Bloom clear stamp sets and the Season of Change Leaves Die Set.

Creative Nugget: The collage image was stamped on paper from the Forever Fall Collection by Bo Bunny.  Parts of the image were colored with copic markers.  The post mark image was stamped again on a scrap piece of Naturals Card Stock, punched out with a circle punch, colored and popped up on the main panel.  The butterfly was stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with white detail powder.  It was fussy cut, colored on the back, and attached over the butterfly on the main panel.  The Kraft panel and the leaf die cuts were rolled through a corrugator.  An EK Success Border Punch was used to make a matching scalloped border.  Some mesh, jute, and colored pearls were added to complete the card.  Everything was added to a Naturals card base.

Here is the blog list in case you get lost, but before heading over to the amazing Mary Faus, be sure to read all about the special activities we have planned for you over at Splitcoaststampers!
