You Are SPEC-tacular

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing several cards over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog using products from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps April and May release.  First up is a card using the popular Girl Power stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  The little glasses in the Girl Power set was the inspiration for this card.  After stamping and coloring the frames, Glossy Accents was added to the lenses for texture.  The speckled back ground was stamped with one of the Texture Tiles 1 stamps and white embossed.  Nuvo Embellishment Mousse was sponged over the embossing for a glorious shimmer. The cool Girl Power girl was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and popped onto the card.  Three stamp sets were used to create the sentiment, (Words of Life: Common Words 1, Skinny Caps Alpha, and Mini Grunge Type Alpha), which was divided into three parts.  How fun!

My next sample is a shaker card created with the adorable unicorn from the Be Unique stamp set.

Creative Nugget:  The "Wrinkle Free Distress Background" was created with the little diamond stamp included in the Be Unique stamp set and one of the stamps in the Texture Tiles 1 stamp set. The rainbow and unicorn were Copic colored, fussy cut and popped onto the front of the card.  Sparkly sequins were used to fill the shaker card.

Two for Tuesday: Sweet As Perfume

Hello friend!  It's time for another Two for Tuesday feature over at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.  The Sweet As Perfume stamp set was used for both the CAS card and the stepped-up version.

Creative Nugget: Panels of white card stock were cut with Pierced Rectangle and Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The flowers from the Sweet As Perfume stamp set were stamped twice, colored with Copic Markers, and hand cut to pop onto the card.  The Flower Lattice Die was used to cut a border strip to add to the card.  Nuvo Drops were added as accents.

Creative Nugget:  The stepped-up version includes a Scalloped Chain Die used to add a layer to the base of the card.  Papers from the Romantic Roses Paper Pad were added to the stepped up version along with a layer cut with a Fancy Circle Die and a  modified Pennant Flag die cut.

Looking Back at the ODBD May 2018 Release

Good morning, friends!  Today we are taking another look at the ODBD May 2018 Release.  I have a few projects to share with you using the Turtle Love Stamp/Die Duo and the Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo.

Creative Nugget:  The underwater background was created on watercolor paper with a watercolor wash and salt and cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die.  The sandy ocean floor was cut from paper from the By the Shore Paper Collection.  The sea grass and coral at the bottom of the card were created with Grass Border and Fancy Foliage Dies.  The turtles from the Turtle Love set were colored with Copic Markers and cut with the coordinating dies.  A sentiment from the set was stamped on a Pennant Flag die cut.

My second card is for all coffee lovers out there!

Creative Nugget:  Lever Card Dies were used to create the card base and Latte Love and Fall Favorites papers were cut with the Lever Card Layers Dies and added to each of the card panels. The Hug in a Mug Stamp/Die Duo was used to create all of the coffee cups and sentiments.  One of the sentiments was stamped on a Pennant Flag die cut and Layering Hearts die cuts were added to finish the card.

Give Me Jesus

Hello Friends!  I'm sharing this card today on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog.  Can I just tell you how much fun the new Girl Power Stamp Set from the May Release is to use?! You will seriously want to start putting these girls on every card you create.  The possibilities for dressing them up are endless!

Creative Nugget:  I started by creating a galaxy sky with Distress Oxide Inks.  A circle was cut from the panel for the world from the Send Me stamp set.  The sentiment from Timeless Hymns was white embossed and then the fun began!   Five of the girls from the Girl Power set were stamped and dressed using many of the little accessories included in the stamp set.  I had so much fun practicing different skin and hair colors using Copic Markers.  ***LOVE***

A Mother's Love

Hello friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day last Sunday and felt especially loved and pampered.  God's love is eternal and unconditional...next to Him, a mother's love is like no other.  Not only was this card created for Mother's Day, but for the "Ways to Use It Challenge" over at Splitcoaststampers for today which was to use a silhouette as the focal point on your card.

Creative Nugget:  Flowers from the Whimsy Bouquet stamp set were stamped around a circular aperture and colored with Copic Markers.  The silhouette image from the A Mother's Love stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps was stamped inside the frame.  A sentiment from the set was embossed on a die cut banner.

You Are the World

Hello friends!  Since Mother's Day is only a week away, I decided to share a couple of Mother's Day Cards.  My first card features a Double Gate Fold with interlocking pieces using The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo by Our Daily Bread Designs.

Creative Nugget:  After constructing the card base, beautiful papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad were used to line each of the panels.  The Lattice Background Die was used to cut the lattice panel which was cut in half and attached to each side of the front.  The butterflies were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, and cut with the coordinating dies included with The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo Set.  Only one half of each butterfly was attached to the card so they could interlock. The sentiment was embossed on a die cut Pennant Flag.

The card opens to reveal another wonderful sentiment from the stamp set and another butterfly.

My Mother-in Law will be receiving this card on Mother's Day!

My second card was made for the Throwback Thursday Feature on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.  This week we were showcasing the Log Cabin Quilt Die.

Creative Nugget:  The Log Cabin Quilt was created with papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad.  A Beautiful Border was added above and below the quilt.  A pierced heart from the Alphabet Accessories Dies was added to the middle along with a sentiment from The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo.

Itty Bitty Blossoms

Hello Sweet Friends...happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing over at the SNSS Blog using some of the awesome new stamp sets from the May Release!  Both cards feature the Itty Bitty Blossoms stamp set which is soooo much fun.

Creative Nugget:  The small elements in the Itty Bitty Blossoms set are perfect for creating wreaths which is what was done here. There was just enough space in the middle of the wreath to stamp one of the girls from the fun new Girl Power stamp set. The girl was cut with a stitched circle die so the wreath frame could be popped up.  SNSS Alphabet sets can be used to add just the right sentiment...the Rebecca Script Alpha was used on this card.

Love the new Itty Bitty Blossoms paired with Whimsy Bouquet for creating backgrounds!

Creative Nugget:  Flowers from both sets were white embossed...then Katherine Pooler inks were sponged over the embossing to create a vibrant rainbow.  A SNSS retired birthday word die was cut from the panel and then cut five more times to be stacked and popped back into the card.  (You could use any word die you have for this.)  The "Happy" from the Companion Words stamp set was stamped in rainbow colors along the left side.  "To You" is from the new Scripty Thoughts stamp set which is the Stamp of the Month for May and is FREE with a $75 purchase!  (Hint: This will be easy to do since you will want this whole release...it's amazing!)
