Creative Nugget: Granted, these spiders look harmless to me, but they are hanging down under. The stencil chosen to use for the background reminded me a little of a spider web and was sponged lightly with Victorian Velvet and Twisted Citron distress inks. The spiders are from the Buggin' Ya stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and the sentiment was created with a fun new alpha called Lynzee Script Alpha. The spiders' drop lines were enhanced with some doodling, stitching, and some metallic thread bows. Splatters, messy stitching, and a few Bitty Sparkles were added to finish the card. The design of the card was inspired by the Fusion Sketch.
There are also many varieties of beautiful flowers that can be found in Australia!
Creative Nugget: Distress inks were dabbed on an acrylic block, spritzed with water, and smeared onto some mixed media paper to create the background. Scribble Flowers were randomly stamped in Jet Black Archival ink, one of which was cut out and popped onto the card. The sentiment is from a new stamp set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called God is For You.
These cards will be submitted for the following challenges:
Thanks so much for joining me for Australian Day…have a blessed one!
